Video of Joysters dancing to the latest Loquat song "Time Bending" off of Loquat's album released today 4/24/2012! I didn't get my copy yet but it should be here soon! This is a another good song...I am never not pleased with these guys! So if you feel it ... get on up and dance...you can't plan the good things!
There is a blog called "My Old Kentucky Blog (MOKB)" that I used to frequent regularly, cause he goes to clubs to hear up and coming bands play and also gets interviews with them and puts them up on his site...it's pretty cool and he has grown a lot over the years. So I heard a rendition of "There is a Light" and was blown away by Kylee's voice (which you can hear below and that doesn't take away from the guys in the band...they all kick ass). So I order their CD (It's Your's to Keep) and love every song on it...one of my all time favorite albums.
So they end up playing at the Independent Theater in San Fran (which they are again next weekend 4/27/12) and my husband and I go down and see them...at that time I just loved their music but I am not the kind of fan that looks up all your info (well didn't used to be) to see what you are like...I just loved them so I went to see them and I am at the counter looking at the stuff they are selling and bump into this girl and ask her how much the shirt is (Loquat shirt) and she says I don't know I don't work selling the products and I said "oh" and looked for someone who did...well a few minutes later the girl gets on the stage and it's freaking Kylee (d'oh) :o) So that is my Loquat story and it looks like I will be seeing them next weekend. I wrote in a post back then (2009) and myTeacher responded:

There is a Light (Loquat Cover)
July 13, 2007
My Husband Dan writes: Joy and I are heading out on the town as well. Actually, on the city. :) Tomorrow morning after QT we're going to drop Tyler off at a friends house and then hit the road for five hours or so until we reach San Francisco. Our main agenda point is going to the Loquat concert (which Joy has posted about previously), though talk of some touristy activities, including a trolley ride, is in the air as well. Like you two, D&R, this has been on the calendar for some time now and we are definitely excited to be venturing out. We'll be staying at a hotel in the city, and I'm not sure what the internet access will be, so Sunday's QT is a question mark at this point. I imagine we'll make it back into Yreka sometime early Sunday evening. Here's to life! :) Dan |
