There's a speed limit sign on a backroad out in the Russian Wilderness and someone painted the 30 to reflect 80. And that is how it is in life sometimes, we even hurry on a dirt road thinking we can get somewhere faster. Yet it is only when we slow down or get out of the car, that life that surrounds us is fully experienced.
You can't see the intricate details of life going 80 miles an hour, nor can you see it going 30; you have to pull over, get out and be in it. The same can happen in your home, you are rushing about to get from a to b, but you miss the picture your child just drew you, or the look in your pets eyes as they watch you run about. You don't feel the hug and kiss that your Lover gives you as you run out the door.
When life is saying speed up, go 80 ... maybe you will begin to hear it as slow down and go 30, or get out the car and look up at the sky, what do the clouds look like today? Are the birds chirping? What kind of ground are you walking on? Are their wild flowers? Are there people? What do they look like? Are they smiling or sad, are they enjoying their day or are they complaining? You get to notice life when you slow down, not to do anything about life, just to notice it.
