Taking a math class has revealed how when you don't understand something it can seem very complicated and scary and instead of attempting to get to know the process you can want to just run from it, get away from it. Yet once you get to know the process, it becomes simple and easy and not scary at all.
This shed some light on the things that have transpired in history, what we don't understand we fear and attempt to destroy. This can be anything from eliminating a race, to ending a relationship, to quitting a class or running away from a situation.
However, even though these things may arise, if you become willing to stay in the uncomfortableness of it a bit longer, it may begin to reveal to you what you couldn't see while you were afraid. Maybe it will reveal that it is not as complicated as you fear it will be, that once you really get to know that person, that subject, that race, that _____________ (fill in the blank) you find that you actually gain from the experience not lose.
