CLASSMATE WROTE:
"Jesus trumps the bible.” This does not mean the bible is outdated but that the teachings of Jesus are directly from God and not touched by human ideals like the bible can be." RESPONSE: What a good one to pick out ... so many have seemingly become confused thinking that the book/Bible is the way. Yet words cannot be the way because words mislead. Jesus didn't walk around with a Bible telling people how to live their lives ... in fact it doesn't seem he told people how to live their lives at all ... he just lived his. Those that had ears to hear were drawn to him. He didn't have to go searching for anyone or anything because he knew the saying "I am the light and the way" would draw any and all to him like a lighthouse draws a ship in the night. He also knew there is no "Jesus for Jesus" meaning that he knew people were not drawn to the body "Jesus" or the person "Jesus" because Revelation had revealed only Light, hence the saying "I am the Light and the way." He also revealed to any that were willing and able to hear that they were capable of anything he was and more. He seemed to have spent his days pointing poeple back to the Light within them. Even 2000 years later this message is seemingly very hard for people to hear ... most want it to be something outside of them ... are hoping that there is this man "Jesus" that will come rescue them or give them all the things they want. Yet for those that have seen the futility of resolution in the world ... turn inward ... towards the Light that so many say they find themselves pulled towards during a near-death experience ... the word "Light" is a lie but it is a close pointing that one not need physically die to begin to have the Light revealed. The Bible is outdated but the words still have an energy that is alive, however there is so much misinterpretation that if one is to read it ... best to do it on their own and to take the questions that arise into their own Heart for Revelation, because no one can have Revelation for you, if it could people wouldn't still be expecting to be saved by Jesus who already had full and complete Revelation. There is no doubt that Jesus, if he existed, is an amazing Teacher. However he is a dead Teacher and in the beginning Jesus is a good tool to use to begin to know who you are to have something that comforts you and seems to point the way you would like to be pointed, however, a Living Teacher is much more thorough because you cannot lie to a Living Teacher, you cannot fool a Living Teacher, but you can lie to your Self through a dead one, such as Jesus ... you can fool yourself into thinking that their is a Jesus that is serving you (this will eventually become funny.) However if you are serious in knowing who you Truly are, and not just playing a game with your Self, you will not be able to lie to your Self for very long, that is both the good and the bad news. When the student is ready the Teacher will appear. This is absolutely True and you will know this Teacher just as all of those who were drawn to Jesus Knew. ~Joysters |
